The Empire of Moyungsong was a hegemonic state ruling a large portions of Eastern Yorotran from the Xth Century to the Xth Century. It was the first empire to have a large scale organized Mage Guilds, with them playing an important role in both the governance and military of the empire. The empire was also extremely culturally relevant in Yorotranic history, as it is responsible for the spread of the Fescintian Calendar throughout Yorotran. Its rise was due mostly to the well funded and powerful mages, who were able to hold hegemony over much of their neighboring polities. The mage guilds established by the Moyungsong would eventually come to take over its entire government structure, before eventually descending into civil war and being destroyed. X
